These shots were taken during a conversation I had with Matina, an actress, about the fact that, while some people are a delight to photograph (like her, obviously), there are others that I can't take a single decent shot of them… I told her that my explanation was that people who feel comfortable with me, and maybe like me a little, are usually my best "models". And she asked me why I think that happens… Luckily, a friend and fellow photographer who was sitting next to me, interrupted us by saying: "Too much psychoanalysing will destroy your photography". Fair enough, I thought… It's better to shoot Matina than trying to figure out why it works (the light conditions where not optimal and this fact tipped the scale decisively)… so, there you have it!
