It's not easy being a comic book hero

Wandering in the Comicdom Con Athens on Friday, I thought: "Someday my comic book alter ego will come. She will knock on my door: "Hey Angie, it's time to go". I'll see her for what I really am and I will fear no more. I'll realise all this was just a dream -although, I must say, I already know… Back in the true reality, we will meet with our friends and get back to our plans which I can't reveal, oh no!". But you must know that comic book life is not easy. It's full of adventures that follow you everywhere, it's full of hardships and dangerous misunderstandings, but everything you do you do it with style, with meaning and great power. There are codes you must live by, because life in the comic book world is full of traps and silent agreements. There are pacts you must make and battles you have to fight everyday. You have true and loyal friends but very often you must wander alone and never see them for a long time. Even if you have great powers, you usually must conceal them under the cloak of the ordinary. Because higher purposes and sacrifices are the essence of a comic book hero. Sometimes a dark force is pursuing you but that just means you are powerful. Your actions and your thoughts count because they are drawn on paper and not just blowing in the wind. Sometimes you think that life sucks but every true comic book hero thinks the same way. Of course, being a true comic book hero, you don't know that…
