Foolish love

This is what you call it when you are finally free. Before that you don't call it nothing because you still hope it would turn out to be something else. The world would be a better place without foolish loves. The life of a photographic investigator would not. Foolish loves have generously provided people like me material for various investigations and although the emotional expressions of the pain and dissapointment are always rich and rewarding in a photo, I must say I always have loved the "liberation point". The moment when the illusion collapses. Not only because it gives equally good investigative portraits, but because it's most promising: who knows? If one illusion collapses today, maybe another one, more important will collapse tomorrow. Something to meditate on…
