One only throws a stick to a lion once!

I woke up at 4 a.m. as usual but a recent injury in my lower back made me reluctant to perform my morning yoga. I was thinking about a recent photographic investigation which has been… undefinable, to say the least. I tuned in to Samaneri Jayasara, my favourite youtube channel, and listen to the wisdom of the masters. This one was about Milarepa, and it woke me up completely - and the following words also gave meaning to my photographic investigation: “When you run after thoughts, you are like a dog chasing a stick. Every time the stick is thrown you run after it. Instead, be like a lion, who rather than chasing after the stick, turns to face the thrower. One only throws a stick to a lion once!”
